Service and Equipment Update:   (EST)

July 5th, 2007   Heavy Storm day causes major outage. Thankfully it was the 4th weekend and late in day. We recovered from lightning strike by 2:50 AM which is something considering that we arrived on site at 10:00 PM. Still we were fortunate to have all the necessary equipment on hand to put back services in just a few hours.
Since then we have toughened up internal policy for wiring (Category 6 cable) and hardened from lightning effects via internally conducted routes. We likewise maintain preconfigured routers and necessary hardware to maintain our "hardened" nature against electrical storm discharge.

July 29th, 2006   Service out from 6-10 this morning due to an ATT/SBC local issue. Yet they prioritized telco restore time. We are still providing on electrical secondary service ( generators ) since yesterday mid-afternoon.

June 5th, 2006   Primary mail service has been upgraded to latest version. Please note the web admin is http://mail.iacl.com:32000/admin.

June 4th, 2006   204 connectivity has been solid in all sorts of weather since the April 24 rebuild. This solidity insures un-interrupted service on our AT&T provided 204 subnet.

May 31st, 2006   An overheated circuit breaker causes a few servers to power down for about 10 minutes. The load has been redistributed, balenced and the circuit box modified to prevent future heating.

April 24th, 2006   11:40 AM to 1:40 PM. 204 outage while the carrier rebuilds the hardware connection to the CO. This upgrade substantially improves the connection which had been seeing intermittancy during inclement weather.

July 30th, 2005   1:00 PM Remnents of the Hurricane Katrina sweeping through the area cause some general Network concerns in Connecticut especially through Meriden. 3:00 PM Service restored.

Dec 7th, 2004   Slight interruption in webmail access (Cookie Problem) while we upgrade our webmail service. Please Click "refresh" or "reload" on your browser while at your IAC webmail entry page.

Oct. 7th, 2004   1:00 PM - 2:00 PM outage. An issue with SBC service out of Meridan, CT has been resolved. SBC apologizes for this interruption of service affecting some customers at IAC.

August 21th, 2004   3:30 PM. A heavy line of storms caused intermittancy on connection for approximately 15 minutes effecting some webhosting, email and colocation service.

August 4th, 2004   Reboot Server restarted Successfully. Try to communicate with it. Please be sure to properly LOG OUT with /x command.

June 2nd, 2004   Some momentary and brief spotty outages between 11:45 AM and 12:30 PM as SBC continue to tackle various issues.

May 12th, 2004   Follow up to April 26th outage: SBC have assured us that they are taking all appropriate measures to insure that they have a working and maintainable failover plan that they will decide upon and implement to provide dual routes out of the State in light of the service cut which darkened Connecticut Internet service on April 26th.

April 26th, 2004   3:00 PM - SBC Service Restored. Any temporary emergency cut-overs reset to original settings. There may be residual DNS propegation issues. Contact us, if for any reason, it does not return to normal during overnight hours. If this situation should ever be revisited, we will, in the future be able to respond with emergency cut-over faster.

April 14th, 2004   Recent Hacker intrusions into Linux/Solaris University servers combined with the release of Major Windows Operating system patches listing numerous exploitable avenues into Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP spell a slow and sticky day on the Internet. For email users, Virus and SPAM distribution continues to be a problem for everyone from AOL on down. Viruses detected and deleted at the gateway have reached an all-time high. Expect delays and other problems.

August 23rd, 2003   Loss of service on our 204.60 subnet corrected at 8:15 AM. Running from about midnight this loss of connectivity affecting some mail and colocated machines was due to Welci/Sobig-f virus infecting one of the 204-connected servers here. We expect normal service despite the high incidence of viral network traffic that is otherwise affecting the Internet. The majority of services and servers on 65.54 subnet remain unaffected.
