Email Upgrade: 12/16/03
We have upgraded our next-generation mailserver to tag suspicious email as [spam]. This is useful in applying filtering options that come with many popular email client programs.

We continue to record unprecedented levels of out and out junk email. To assist in the war between spam and antispam forces, President Bush has signed anti-spam legistlation that we hope has appropriate enforcement mechansisms. SPAMmers have been exceptionally busy in the post-Thanksgiving weeks to bombard Internet Mailservers with more junk messaging than ever before. We are expecting a reduction of SPAM in the post-Xmas season. For more information click Yahoo News Link

Verisign Sells Network Solutions Component 10/17/03
Verisign have divested themselves of the Network Solutions Website and front end business. It is noteworthy to point out that they have retained the core registrar service and control of .com and .net central list. Apparently not content with the $60-100 million they are getting from an investment group for the Network Solutions Website and customer base, Verisgn have suggested that they further invade the public Internet and assume control of the volunteer-run root nameservers. Here is a link to an article in more detail: news.com.com

IAC SITE REDESIGN 10/14/03
You may have noticed we have gotten rid of the bulky graphical link buttons that resided at the left hand side of every page. Originally going for some "cool" look these buttons have been nothing short of difficult to modify and work around every time we wanted to make changes. To facilitate publishing of information of interest we would pile text links below the NavMap based composite image so when the time came, it seemed natural to continue in this text link pattern with our aim being to present page links representing access to information that downloads quickly under the widest set of screens and connections.

Integrated Email with Web Access 7/31/03
IAC has ramped up a new email server (Merak Mailserver) that feautures state of the art control, remote domain administration, security and integrated web email functionality.

Web Email Update 5/30/03
IAC WebMail has been revised to work more robustly with Internet Explorer Ver. 5. We have also put IAC WebMail login behind a password. Please contact us for the password if you are a IAC WebMail user.

Email Routing 3/19/03
Email routing problems grow on the Internet with instances of mail not making it across various ISP's networks. These problems usually range to the larger operations. SPAM attacks continue and the increased havoc is causing less (generally speaking) email routing reliability. If you have a message that is important, be sure to ask that your recipient take a moment to acknowledge the message with a response.
