GeoTrust - New Secure Socket Provider 10/02/02
We're pleased to announce that we are now using GeoTrust to provide Secure Server Certificates thus replacing Thwate/Verisign. This new provider offers more seamless and straightforward integration with SSL (encrypted credit card and personal information). Geotrust is partner with OpenSRS/Tucows who are setting a precedent for how a registration service should operate.

Domain Registration Meltdown 09/10/02
The infrastructure between registrars to handle the effective transfer of domains has become non-functional. Certain of Registrars have apparently decided among themselves that they are exempt from the ICANN rules that everyone is supposed to follow. This on top of domain name slamming and everything else that cheapens the Domain Name registration exercise makes us call for reform and removal of organizations responsible for the current mess from the domain name registration business.

Web Email Access 08/13/02
IAC is pleased to be able to offer Web Email Access. This powerful "virtual email client" is web based and selected for its quality and reliability. (Software provided by netbula.com) Intended for those who need to supplant their regular business domain based email accounts with web-based remote access (thus circumventing equipment and connection headaches of all sorts) to be able to read, send and attach messages from any kiosk or computer on the Internet anywhere. Site Engine 1.0 Release 05/28/02
IAC is pleased to be able to offer Site Engine 1.0, a comprehensive software product that greatly reduces the technological overhead in maintaining and updating your website. Site Manager delivers an extremely clean and easy to use "in page" interface that allows you to update content, images, publish and delete pages and products without having to know HTML or any HTML rendering software. Domain Name Slamming 03/26/02
Various "registrars" have entered into the domain name equivalent of telephone service slamming. (switching of services) If you recieve a bill or invoice that you have any question on for a domain that you own, take the time to make sure that it is a legitimate invoice as operations such as the "Domain Registry of America" find the details of your domain related records and send you invoice-looking notices. These are high quality mailed notifications complete with pre-addressed return envelope.

SPAM Disguised as Microsoft Security Update 03/12/02
Be on the lookout for any email message claiming to be from Microsoft Corp. about Security Updates. This message will come with it's own attachment. Under no circumstances should this attachemnt be opened.

Domain Name Registration 03/05/02
We are now processing domain registrations for your .biz, .com, .info, .net & .org needs. This service is offered to our existing customers as a courtesy for $15/yr per domain. What is of interest is that, in addition to requesting domains via email, you may create a user profile by which you can manage your own domains through convenient user administration panels that allow you to make any changes to your domain profile quickly and easily. Email Account SPAM and Virus Scrubbing 02/23/02
IAC is pleased to announce that it is offering powerful Virus and SPAM scrubbing on all incoming messages. This capability, offered by Postini, allows you to use your account like you normally would, except that annoying solicitations will subside and viruses checked before reaching your computer. Postini recieves up to the minute Virus profiles from McAfee so any new Virus found in the wild is covered as fast as humanly possible. There are additional admin panels to control the level of protection as well as the ability to absolutely allow or block any sender.
